Audience Attraction Handbook
Your ability to grow an engaged audience can make or break the success of your business. Every brand needs loyal customers or clients, so my Audience Attraction Handbook will walk you through 5 simple ways to optimize your audience attraction this season.
1 // STRATEGY
This is the first step in attracting your audience because brand strategy (aka business strategy) is the foundation of your business.
Without a solid strategy, it’s easy to waste time bouncing from one idea to another, cramming in too many ideas, or getting overwhelmed from all of the options. This means, your goals, to-do lists, and pursuits can become scattered all over the place. And without a clear direction for your business, it’s easy to waste time or pursue an idea that doesn’t end up working well with your life and longterm vision.
From branding to marketing, strategy covers every inch of your business. What do I focus on? What should I work on first? What is most strategic for my business growth? What will increase my income? What will build and nurture my audience best? These are all questions brand strategy answers.
Strategy grounds your business to ensure you pursue your dreams and goals with efficient productivity. It also helps you know exactly what to do since it creates an easy-to-follow plan. This takes away the chronic task of making decisions so you are left with more space to be creative. Imagine being able to get straight to work each day and see results by checking off tasks that propel your business forward.
2 // BRANDING
Way more than a logo and color scheme, branding is the entire experience your business offers. It is the comprehensive whole of your business—from the way it looks, to the way customers feel while interacting with it. How you position yourself in your market, what topics you talk about, what you price your offerings at, how often you publish a new blog post, and yes, what your logo, fonts, and color palette look like, are all components that contribute to your branding.
In a nutshell, branding is a comprehensive conglomeration of each element of your business. And every single aspect of your business plays a role in developing your brand.
To use it to your advantage, your brand should be intentionally designed to attract your audience. In fact, it should be designed with your audience’s interest, styles, and needs in mind. After all, you’re in business to make consistent sales and bookings, right? Otherwise you just have a hobby.
A quality brand should attract your dream audience, stand out from the crowd, make a lasting impression, and have something unique to offer.
Audience attraction is a huge part of my design process since it ensures your brand is created with your ideal customers and clients in mind. If you’d like to showcase your business with a one-of-a-kind brand and website, take a look at my design service here.
3 // CONTENT
Your content is the powerhouse that attracts and brings in your audience. It gives people a reason to stay interested in your brand and also creates a way for them to discover your business in the first place. Instead of just promoting your paid offerings, free content piques your audience’s interest and gives them something helpful first.
This method is called content marketing, and it’s one of the most effective growth strategies you can incorporate into your business efforts.
Content can be a blog, podcast, videos, and even Instagram posts. But it shouldn’t end there; content should lead to your newsletter and guide visitors towards your shop or services. (Thats where a well-designed website comes into play.)
To attract and grow your audience with content, it should be engaging, helpful, high-quality, relevant, free, and strategic. It should interest the same group of people who would be interested in your products and services. So it’s important to create a strategy for your content to make sure it’s doing its job and doesn’t just waste your time.
My brand and website design package includes predesigned graphics for your marketing and more. My design process keep your audience in mind to ensure your branding and content visuals attract them, look professional, and build trust.
4 // WEBSITE
A website is the powerhouse that brings in your audience and ties your brand together. Your site has the important job in the audience attraction process of turning visitors into loyal customers and clients.
The goal is to bring them through a win-win situation thanks to a helpful, easy-to-navigate, value-packed, optimized website. A strategic and branded website gives people a space to explore your brand, get to know you, and binge your amazing content.
When your website is built with focus points, content paths, and marketing funnels, it guides your audience towards specific areas, topics, and epiphanies throughout your site (such as aha moments and paid offerings) to increase your sales and bookings without being pushy or sales-y.
A well-designed site keeps people around longer so they can explore your business, and it keeps them coming back for more, time and time again. Plus, it organically increases your rank in search over time, too.
A website that creates an audience-prioritized audience journey will leave them better off than when they first landed on your site. And when it offers a beneficial experience, your readers will look forward to your latest update whether it’s a blog post, product, or service.
Optimizing your websites to attract and retain your audience is on of my favorite part of my website design method. To get a new strategic brand and website that converts, check out my design service here.
5 // CONSISTENCY
Consistency plays a key role in attracting your audience. There are a few specific ways to utilize this. First of all, you want your entire brand to be consistent. Your brand visuals, your website, and the entire experience your business creates should all make sense together and be intentional.
The goal is to have a unified brand across all aspects of your business. This attracts one unified audience, rather than catering to a bunch of different people who aren’t interested in everything you have to offer. A consistent design also gives your business a professional, tailored, and high-quality feel, which is important for building trust with your potential customers and clients.
Next, you want to make sure you show up consistently for your audience. When you gain a new follower, it’s the perfect time to start nurturing that relationship through your free content, social media, and newsletters.
With an intentional website, you can set up an automated audience welcome sequence. But you also want to show up on a consistent basis to show your face, publish new content, and be present so your audience doesn’t forget about your brand.
New blog posts, regular newsletters, and a social media presence come into play here. Though you don’t have to do it all. That’s where strategy can be your best friend: a clever strategy will apply your time to the tasks that make the most impact, and it will set up an approach for your goals that works with your life and business.
